Sambar powder is a magic powder with which we can prepare more dishes. Easy to prepare. We can store for long . It is a traditional recipe mostly followed by South Indians.  Lets see how to prepare this magic recipe.  Ingredients  Dhaniya   - 1/2 kg Red chilli     -. 1/4 kg Toor dhall -400 grms Channa dhall -100 gms Turmeric stick 150 gms Fenugreek.  -   1  table spoon Pepper. -. 100 gms Asafoetida.   Dhaniya or corriender seeds Pepper channa dal Thoor dal Fenugreek, Turmeric stick Asafoetida  Redhill cut the Turmeric into small pieces Mix everything and dry under sun Grind into fine powder in Mill Aromatic sambar powder is ready. We can store in Airtight container and can be used  for 3 months. We can use this powder for making sambar, spice powder for curries, taste maker in sabzi and many dishes. VEPAMPOO RASAM/NEEM FLOWER RASAM...very tasty and good for while body.

Neem flower has very good medicinal values. It is good for stomach as it reduces gases in the stomach. Vepampoo/neem flower rasam is very easy to make.It is very tasty and good for stomach. It is advisable to prepare this atleast 3 times a month for the smooth functioning of our stomach.  Let's see its preparation  Ingredients  Mustard seed 1 table spoon Cumin seed 1/2 table spoon Asafoetida small piece Red chilli 1 Curry leaves few. Ghee 2 tsp Tamarind extract 250 ml (Soak big amla size tamarind in 250 ml warm water for 10 mins. Squeeze and filter to collect the extract) Salt as required. Dried Neem flower 2 table spoon. Preparation time 10 mins Preparation. Heat a pan with 1 tsp ghee Add mustard seed,cumin seed,curry leaves, Asafoetida, red chilli one by one. TANGY CRISPY WHEAT DOSA...Easy to prepare...Ultimate

Every body knows it is very easy to prepare wheat dosa. In this recipe, I am going to share a tangy version, which will be mouth watering and a twist from regular one. Let's see its preparation.  Ingredients  Wheat flour 1 cup Rava 1/2 cup  Rice flour 1/2 cup Mustard seed 1 tsp Cumin seed 1 tsp Asafoetida 1 pinch Curry leaves Corriender leaves Curd 1/2 cup Salt to taste For grinding Tomato 4 to 5 Chilli 5 Ginger 1 small piece Preparation time 20 mins Preparation  Add tomatoes, chilli and ginger to a mixie. Grind to a smooth paste. Add rava,wheat flour ,rice flour in a bowl. Add the grinded ingredients to it.Add curd and required salt to it.  Head a pan with 1tsp oil. Add Asafoetida, Mustard seed,cumin seeds. Once they pop add curry leaves . Add this to the bowl. Add Corriender leaves and Mix well. Add required water to make it watery. Allow

Thengai podi/coconut powder....One powder___multipurpose use

Coconut powder or thengai podi is easy to make with minimal ingredients but can be used in many dishes. Very tasty and protein rich. Ideal for all,children to adults... Let's see how to prepare. Ingredients  Coconut grated 1/2 cup Urud dal 1/4  cup Channa dal 1/2cup Red chilli 2 Asafoetida 1 pinch Mustard seeds 1tsp Ghee 1 tsp Cooking oil 1 tsp Salt to taste Preparation time 10 mins. Preparation  Heat a pan with 1 tsp cooking oil. Add Asafoetida and mustard seed and allow to pop. Add channa dal and urud dal and saute till golden brown. Once done remove in a plate. In the same pan add Red chilli and saute till golden brown. Once done remove and store in a plate.  Heat the pan with 1 tsp ghee. Add coconut and saute till golden brown in a low flame. This is how it should be. Cool all the fried ingredients  In a dry mixie add all ingredients except coconut and salt.

Rava Kesari...Mouth watering sweet. Step-by-step

Rava kesari is a common sweet and easy to make. If  water,sugar  is not proportionate to rava , it might turn into night mare. Follow this step  by step and enjoy the rich sweet. I ngredients  Rava (sooji small) 100 g Sugar 150g Cashew nuts,raisins  as desired Ghee 100g Elaichi powder a pinch Food colour as desired. Serves 4 Preparation time 20 mins Preparation.  Heat a heavy bottomed pan with 75 g ghee. Once it melts add cashews. When it turn brown, add raisins.  When raisins balloons separate from ghee  and set aside. In the remaining ghee in the pan , add rava and start roasting. In another Stove boil 200 ml water. when it is about to boil, add food colour. keep roasting the rava until ghee is fully absorbed by rava. You can keep roasting till the water bubbles  in another Stove Once water bubbles add water little by little to roasted rava and  stir continously
