VEPAMPOO RASAM/NEEM FLOWER RASAM...very tasty and good for while body.

Neem flower has very good medicinal values. It is good for stomach as it reduces gases in the stomach. Vepampoo/neem flower rasam is very easy to make.It is very tasty and good for stomach. It is advisable to prepare this atleast 3 times a month for the smooth functioning of our stomach. 
Let's see its preparation 
Ingredients 
Mustard seed 1 table spoon
Cumin seed 1/2 table spoon
Asafoetida small piece
Red chilli 1
Curry leaves few.
Ghee 2 tsp
Tamarind extract 250 ml
(Soak big amla size tamarind in 250 ml warm water for 10 mins. Squeeze and filter to collect the extract)
Salt as required.
Dried Neem flower 2 table spoon.
Preparation time 10 mins
Preparation.
Heat a pan with 1 tsp ghee
Add mustard seed,cumin seed,curry leaves, Asafoetida, red chilli one by one.
Once they pop add to the tamarind
extract
Heat the pan with 1 tsp ghee and add neem flower 
sauIte till golden brown colour.we can experience a nice aroma
Set aside .
Heat the tamarind extract in a  bowl with required salt.( I have used traditional lead vessel. Other wise we can use a heavy flat bottomed vessel.)
Bring to boil
Add 250ml of water(To make it protein rich we can add cooked 1 laddle of Thoor dhal mashed with 250ml water to it)
Switch off the flame when it froths 
Add the roasted neem flower and cover it with a lid. Allow to settle for 15 mins. The essence of neem flower will be mixed well.
Neem flower rasam is ready. You can mix this with hot rice and 1 tsp ghee. Really good for whole body. The bitterness of neem flower is balanced by tamarind  and one can experience a unique taste.
Usually this rasam is not prepared on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday as these days are auspicious to goddess Ambal
