Dal curry/Araithakalar.....Crispy protein rich vegetable fry.

This is a protein rich vegetable fry. It is very delicious and rich item, usually a must item in wedding menu. We can try beans,plantain flower, cabbage, carrot,cluster beans for this vegetable fry. If we soak the dal and precooked vegetable is available, we can prepare this dish within 10 mins
Let's see the ingredients 
Chopped beans 100g
Channa dal 3 table spoon
Thoor dal 2 table spoon
Red chilli 3
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder 1 pinch
Oil for cooking
For saute
Urud dal 1tsp
Mustard seed 1tsp
Asafoetida 1 pinch
cumin seed 1 tsp
Curry leaves.
Preparation 
Soak channa dal ,Thoor dal,chilli for 30 mins
Pre cook beans with little salt.
Grind the soaked dal and chilli with required salt and a pinch of turmeric to coarse. (Don't add water or don't grind to paste)
Preparation 
Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan.
(Usually iron pan is used for this menu)
Once it is hot add Mustard seed, urud dal, Asafoetida  one by one.
Once splatters add cumin seed and curry leaf.
Add the grinded dal to it and saute.
Add 1 tsp oil and saute occasionally 
Saute until all moisture is absorbed and  dry.
Add cooked beans and mix well.

Once mixed well remove from flame 
Crispy dal veg fry is ready. We can mix with rice and have or can be used as a side dish for sambar and rasam.
Another variant .... plantain flower dal fry
