Aval sarkarai pongal/Poha sweet pongal.pongal.Easy to make.make.Delicious to Eat

Aval/poha sweet pongal is very easy to make. With minimal ingredients we can prepare it in few minutes. There is no steaming or pre cook needed. Instantly we can prepare. As jaggery is used ,we can offer to Lord as prasadam.Lets see how it is prepared.  Ingredients  Aval/poha 100 grams Jaggery powdered 80grms Ghee 4 table spoon Elaichi powder 1 pinch Cashews and raisins preparation time 10 mins Serves 4 Heat a pan and add 1 table spoon ghee.  Once it melts add cashew and saute until golden brown.  In the same ghee add raisins and saute until it balloons.  Remove cashew and raisins and set aside. In the remaining ghee add aval/poha and fry till golden brown Once it is crispy and golden brown remove from flame and allow it to cool. Once it is cool, transfer to mixie and grind as a coarse powder. Add 200ml water to kadai and bring it to boil. Add jaggery powder and allow

PUDHINA SAMBAR/MINT SAMBAR.(Without dal)

Pudina/Mint is a very good mouthfreshner and very good for digestion. It has rich nutrients and contain vitamin A. This sambar has pepper which is a medicinal spice.  This sambar is made without dal, easy to make and delicious too. Let's see its preparation.  Ingredients  Pudhina/mint 1 bundle(cleaned and washed) Urud dal 3 table spoon Channa dal 1 table spoon Pepper 1 table spoon Red chilli 3 Tamarind small lemon size Salt to taste Gingelley oil 3 table spoon Cumin seed 1 table spoon For tempering  Mustard seed 1 tsp Fenugreek 1tsp Asafoetida 1 pinch Cumin seed 1tsp Red chilli 1 Preparation time 10 mins. Serves 4 Preparation  Heat a pan and add 1 tablespoon of Gingelley oil Add urud dal,channa dal,pepper, tamarind, chilli ,cumin seeds one by one and saute till dals are golden brown . Remove from stove and allow to cool. In the same pan, add the mint and saute till it reduces in size.(Don't over fry)

SWEET POTATO BONDA...CRISPY ,YUMMY

Sweet potato is very good anti oxidant. It is highly nutritional, rich fibre content ,filling and delicious. I have tried this bonda which came out very delicious and very good snack . Let's see how it is prepared.  Ingredients  Sweet potato 200g Chilli 2 Ginger 1 small piece Lemon juice 1 table spoon  Curry, coriender leaves little Ajwain 1 tsp Jeera powder 1tsp Pepper powder Salt as required  For tempering  Mustard 2 tsp Urud dal 1 tsp Channa dal 2 tsp Cumin 1 tsp Asafoetida 1 tsp Oil for tempering and frying FOR BATTER Gram flour 1 cup Rice flour 1/2 cup Baking soda 1 pinch Chilli powder 1 tsp Colour (optional) 1 pinch Salt 1 pinch Pre preparation  Peel the skin of sweet potato ,cook and mash . Crush chilli and ginger.  (you can grind in mixie also) Preparation time 25 mins Approximately 15 bondas  Preparation In a big bowl add cooked and mashed sweet potato,crushed chilli and ginger, Curry leaves and Corriender leaves

Aloo Masal....Super side dish for dosa,poorI chapathi

Aloo masal is a friendly and handy side dish which can be combined with any tiffin like dosa,poori , chapathi etc. If potato is cooked already within 10 mins we can prepare this tasty side dish Let's see its ingredients  Ingredients  Potato 4 Carrot 1  Tomato 1 Lemon juice 1spoon Green peas 1 cup Curry leaves, Corriender leaves Turmeric 1 pinch Mustard 1tsp Urud dal 1tsp Channa dal 1tsp Asafoetida 1 pinch Cumin seed 1 tsp Pepper powder 1tsp Jeera powder 1 tsp Green chilli 3 Ginger small piece Oil for cooking  Salt to taste pre preparation. Peel the skin of potatoes and carrot and cut into big pieces   Add turmeric and a pinch of salt and cook the vegetables with sufficient water Save the cooked water if in excess. Can be used  while preparing the dish.  cut tomato,chilli and ginger into small pieces. Preparation time 10mins Seves 4 Let's see the preparation  Heat a pan with 2 tsp oil
